What Spring looks like in my garden this year

When Spring rolled around on September 1, it really did feel like the seasons had changed, with Geraniums flowering, the California poppy turning out a stunning orange display and the symbolic Daffodil almost blooming.

It all happened over the course of a week in the garden.

I’m also looking forward to my Bottlebrushes flowering and getting down in the vegie patch preparing for a plentiful harvest come Summer.

Here are some photos I snapped this weekend following the arrival of Spring.

Orange California poppy outdoors
The California poppy is a welcome addition to the garden, marking the start of Spring.
Red Geranium or Pelargonium
I have five Geraniums potted up and this is the first one to flower.
Young, immature Garlic seedlings appearing from bulbs
The garlic I planted over Winter is looking great. I had a sneaky look under the soil and they appear to be growing well.
Overgrown lettuce outdoors
The lettuce has gone crazy (front), while the seedlings I planted out a few weeks ago (back) have also sprung to life.
Daffodil about to flower outdoors
It looks like this Daffodil will be blooming soon.

There’s dozens of projects to keep gardeners of all ages and abilities busy during Spring.
